How the Showdown works
Solo Divisions:
Junior - Age 7-10
- No more than 50 Soloists will be able to participate
- All registered junior soloists will perform in the first round in front of a panel of three judges.
- Top finalists from the first round will move on to the final showdown
Intermediate - Age 11-14
- No more than 50 Soloists will be able to participate
- All registered intermediate soloists will perform in the first round in front of a panel of three judges.
- Top finalists from first round will move on to the final showdown
Senior - Age 15-19
- No more than 50 Soloists will be able to participate
- A dancer may only enter one solo into the competition
- All registered senior soloists will perform in the first round in front of a panel of three judges.
- Top finalists from first round will move on to the final showdown
*All competing soloists must participate in convention classes. They will be marked in each class and this will contribute to their final score.
Group Division:
All ages:
- No more than 50 group routines will be able to participate
- A studio may only enter up to 6 groups into the competition.
- All registered groups will perform in the first round.
- Top finalists from first round will move on to the final showdown
Convention Classes/Showdown Registration Fees:
Registration Opens June 1st, 2023
Regular Pricing:
$238.00 + HST
Solo Showdown Registration Fee:
$138.00 +HST
Group Showdown Registration Fee:
$55.00/per dancer + Tax
Solo and Group Showdown plus Convention Classes will take place Saturday
