Tyler Angell

Tyler Angell (he/they) is a dancer, educator, and award winning international choreographer. In 2013 he trained with Courtnae Bowman and Zhenya Cerneacov at The School Of Cadence Ballet, where he
developed a strong foundation in vaganova technique, pas de deux, contemporary, and modern dance. As a student of the school, Tyler also worked closely with Cadence Ballet, where he was given opportunities to perform in multiple works throughout the city. During his time with the company Tyler worked with multiple Toronto based choreographers such as Alysa Pires, Kyra Jean Green, Rodney Diverlus, and Brian Solomon. Now an alumnus from Cadence's Post-Secondary Training Program, Tyler is now the leading contemporary faculty member for the schools professional training program. They since then have worked professionally with Joshua Beamish/MOVETHECOMPANY in "Saudade" which toured across Canada and Germany, Transcen|Dance Project in "A Grimm Night" as Faun and "Eve Of St. George" as James. Other credits include: Hart Dance, Nostos Collectives in Toronto and Halifax, Trip The Light Fantastic in Montreal, Louis Laberge-Cotê, Little Pear Garden Dance Company, Patrick Roberge Productions Inc, Impromptu Movements, and Jeff Dimitriou. Tyler has performed on stage and on film in several venues across Canada, and just recently presented a dance installation at Fashion Art Toronto in collaboration with Marisa Ricci. He was also the recipient of the 2023 Outstanding Choreographer award at the prestigious Youth America Grand Prix Finals in Tampa, Florida.
